2HDBMS 「2HDBMS」は容量制限イベントとなります。「2HD」は3.5インチフロッピーディスクメディアという記録媒体を指しており、bmsの元祖であるBM98が主流だった頃は現役だったメディアです。 3.5インチフロッピーディスクの容量は種類によって違いますが、記録可能な容量は最大で1.44MBです。本イベントはフロッピーディスクに入る容量、即ち1.44MBに収まるbms作品のみが出展できるbmsイベントとなります。 1.44MB以下のbmsイベントはそれこそ似たようなイベントが2004年ぐらいにも開催されておりましたが、その当時はインターネット回線がナローバンドがまだ残っていた頃で、 今で言う「スマートフォンにおいて通信できる容量を超えてしまい、通信速度が制限された後」ぐらいの速度よりも遅い回線が主流だった時代です。 またこの当時はHDDの容量も少なく、100GBが1万円で買えるような時代でした。2021年現代においては同じ価格で6TBで買えるのが当たり前になってきています。 そういった制限の中の時代にも関わらずbms作品の肥大化が続き、それが問題視されることが多々ありました。 そんな大容量bms作品が主流になる時代にコストパフォーマンスの良い低容量の良さを知ってもらうため、低容量イベントというのが定期的に開催されていました。今からおおよそ14～15年ぐらいの話です。長々と昔の時代の説明を行いましたが、本イベントはそういった「当時厳しかった時代を今の時代の人に知ってもらう」という趣旨が目的ではありません。 圧縮技術というのは様々なシーンにおいて必要な技術で、その技術も日々進化しています。昔の1.44MBのbmsと今の1.44MBのbmsでは作り方も違えば作品の内容も全く違います。 本イベントは様々な圧縮技術を駆使し、1.44MBでどれだけ素晴らしいbmsが表現できるかが目的のイベントとなります Admin note: This BMS event may completely disappear – I prefer to archive older BMS events only where possible.   BMS AutoPlay Videos: Completed 16-10-2022 BMS Titles: Completed 15-10-2022 Downloads: Completed 16-10-2022 Build Status: 98% *Audit pending     ~BMS~ … – 羊 [21Another] ♫ 2HDBMS ♫ 6CHA9N – チャネル… Read more →
