G2R2014 - GO BACK 2 YOUR ROOTS -
It was released at BOF2013 with an unexpected name change, and because it inherits the rules of BOF, it replaces that year's BMS OF FIGHTERS . 2014 marked the 10th anniversary of the birth of BMS OF FIGHTER. Immediately after BOF2013 was GBYR2004[33] It was promoted under the working title [Name], but was later given the official name G2R2014. Since G2R stands for "GO BACK 2 YOUR ROOTS" and carries the meaning of "return to your roots," it was speculated that there would be changes different from the previous BOF. And indeed, in order to remember BOF2004, the rules of BOF2004 were followed; consequently, with a limit of one song per team and no collaborations allowed, the number of song submissions dropped drastically compared to 2013, when they had exploded. 99 teams, 284 songs.[34]
As always, it has always been a subject of interest as to which composers will participate in the competition, and Kyo-chan, who went through a difficult time with BGA Punk two years ago because the song was good, has teamed up with Nankumo, who won in 2009 with DRAGONLADY, and LeaF, who took fourth place with Doppelganger just last year. We formed a great team called Catastrophe Theory.[35][36] Users' cheers 1 It doesn't end here, and users' cheers 2 include xi , who was a member of the same team as Deleted two years ago, nora2r , who created last year's winning song BBKKBKK , and the eternal radio world nameねこみりん(Nekomirin), who came together to form the Nora Nekosai team . 2 Users' expectations are considerably higher than last year. rose. In addition , many major composers such as the リア充とは何だったのか (What Was Real Chung) team, which succeeded the Real Chung team, with Ras joining in place of P*Light, who retired from BMS , and Est, yukitani, DOT96, Yamajet , and -45 , participated, and perhaps that is why users are nostalgic for the old days like the concept of G2R. I expected to come across a lot of songs that felt like I was listening to.
... is that all nostalgia for the past is meaningless and Altale, a song that completely changed the style of the song, takes an overwhelming win with the record of being 2nd in total score and 2nd in all-time rating at the time.[37] So, Aragami , which caused a great upheaval within the style, seemed like an ordinary song. Of course, winning the team came as a bonus, and if you think about it, Nora Neko Sai, which was a huge dream team, was looking forward to next year. Despite this, Dstorv took first place with 983.56, the highest rating of all time at the time, preventing Altale from dominating the individual category. 2nd place was xi , which presented Aragami , a song that further developed Halcyon 's nostalgia, but was defeated by the style mastery of削除, and 3rd place was NIKITA, who had previously won in another event,夢、幻。 , with a masterpiece called ELECTRiCiTY .
As a side note, many notable artists appeared in this competition as well. Feryquitous surprised everyone by ranking 5th and 1st in ratings with Dstorv.[38] The appearance of many artists, including mega-newcomers DJ LATI , sky_delta , and Atsushi Morimori, has raised expectations for the upcoming BOF competition.[39] And Mommy, who has been active since 2008 but had no notable career.[40] He finally made a name for himself at this competition by achieving 11th place in total points with "Funny Funky Freaky," which could be called his signature song .[41] In addition, since they came out with a completely replaced title, songs similar to the competition name were also released, and GO BACK 2 YOUR RAVE by last year 's winner nora2r and GO BACK 2 RAVE by DOT96 attracted attention.
Among Korean composers, DJ LATI , a complete newcomer who was a high school student, caused a stir with The World of Cyber , dropping the 5th place title previously held by Sound piercer and ranking 4th.[42]
